MazeCard is much better than Wealie, eCoffeeCard and Punchd

The concept of using QR codes for loyalty programs is not new, but MazeCard is a superior solution to the current offerings.

Wealie, eCoffeeCard and Punchd are examples of existing solutions that require customers to scan the merchant's QR code. This approach makes it very inconvenient for customers to earn points. There are phones with cameras that don't work very well and it's a real hassle to scan the QR code, especially when you're wielding a coffee in one hand and a muffin in the other. And what if a customer doesn't have a smartphone to begin with? But arguably, the biggest shortfall of this approach is that customers can photograph a copy of the merchant's QR code and earn points themselves in their copious free time by scanning a printout of the merchant's code. As such, the merchant has to constantly assess the points to make sure they are all legitimate. With MazeCard's approach, it's the merchant who scans the customer's QR code with the MazeStore app. The customer can earn points simply by presenting his/her MazeCard or the QR code on the MazeWallet app. The merchant can be sure that the points awarded are legitimate. It also allows merchants to set a valid range to minimise mistakes when awarding and redeeming points.

MazeCard supports smartphones of the two most popular mobile operating systems - Android and iOS (iPhone). Based on RetailBiz, the smartphone ownership in Australia is more than 50% in 2012. This means nearly half of Australia still does not have access to smartphones. In addition, there are a lot of people who own smartphones but are not using them for any functions other than making calls and messaging. MazeCard caters to these customers with a regular plastic card, which they can easily carry in their wallet and present at point of sale. Plastic cards are much more durable than paper stamp cards. They are ideal for everyday use.

Wealie, eCoffeeCard and Punchd can only be used in coffee shops where purchases are in a narrow price range, so that each purchase or scan can be equated to 1 reward point. MazeCard allows merchants to award points that reflect the value of each purchase. Merchants can set the default award or redeem points, or use the in-built points calculator in the MazeStore app. For example, if a merchant wants to award 10% of the value of each purchase, he can simply put in the dollar amount and press 10%. Simple!

The MazeStore app was specifically designed to enable a merchant to quickly award and redeem points. Other statistical details related to sales and customers are available online, so they can be comfortably viewed on a device with a larger screen such as a monitor or a pad/tablet.

MazeCard is the best loyalty platform in Australia. With MazeCard, businesses can make sure that the rewards points are legitimate. They can award any amount of points that reflect the value of each purchase, and are not limited to 1 point per scan. MazeCard caters to all customers, including iPhone and Android users, as well as customers who prefer a plastic card. With MazeCard, all businesses and customers are taken care of.
